When God Says, "Enough!"

WHEN GOD SAYS, "ENOUGH!"

God is so good to give us many chances to turn from our sin and to turn to him. Too many confuse His mercy and grace with His toleration and allowance of sin. Although different for each person, one day God’s forebearance for sin will stop and the God’s lesson for us or the consequences of our iniquity will begin.
IN THE DAYS OF NOAH GOD SAID" ENOUGH "
The sin of Noah’s day was raging. None of it escaped God’s eye. People of the time thought that they had gotten away with it. Their wickedness waxed worse. God saw “that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was evil continually” – Genesis 6:5. God was even sorry that He had created man. It was time for the wage for their sin to be paid and for it to cease.
In all the sinful chaos, God did see one righteous man, Noah. After him, his family, and selected animals were safely inside the ark Noah built, God actions said, “Enough of that sin.” The world-wide flood put an end to their evil-doings. In this case, God’s people were spared the consequences. Man had another opportunity to start over again thanks to one man’s not doing what everyone else was doing.
IN THE CITY OF SODOM AND GOMORRAH GOD SAID "ENOUGH "
Man’s sinful nature still remained, however. Iniquity will always be a battle and it continued especially in the twin cities, Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19). After tolerating their iniquities for so long, there came a time when God would no longer put up with their sins of sodomy and other sexual sins. It was apparently “enough” for God. Shortly, after God’s own were removed, the city was destroyed. Nothing of life there remained. Grace had ended for their sin.
JONAH LEARNT HIS LESSON WHEN GOD SAID "ENOUGH "
Jonah also learned that there was a limit to what trespasses God would put up with. Perhaps he thought he had gotten away with his disobedience of not going to Ninevah, as he was commanded. Maybe he even thought his going to Tarshish was an acceptable substitute to God.
Shortly, Jonah learned otherwise. As a pounding tempest pummeled the ship and crew, the wayward child of God learned that God was saying, “Enough. You’re going no further in your sin.” The rest of the story tells how God got Jonah’s attention and how his heart was changed to willingly want to obey his Creator.
In the early church at Rome, there came a time when God’s people felt God’s “enough”, but much differently. They thought they knew better and purposed to ignore His commands. They thought they were so smart. They didn’t receive a lesson to teach them to obey their Father. Instead, the time for grace and second chances had passed. God let them reap the consequences to their own sins. It was like God said, “you want to continue to sin so bad, I will allow it to take its natural course and destroy you.” Three times God stated that He gave them over to their sin.
GOD DESIRE THAT WE "LEARN AND TURN "
All throughout the Bible, a merciful God has tried to get His children to do right. Today is no different. He desires that we obey the first time. Many have lost and suffered much because they did not. His goodness in teaching us only goes so far. Some have faced jail, failure in school, loss of friends, accidents, a destroyed marriage, and many other consequences to get their attention to turn to God. God desired them to “learn and turn”. Others have hardened their sinful hearts, and were on their own and reaped devastation.
If we’re saved and trusting on God’s way, we have His promise of Heaven, but even we battle sin. No one in their right mind wants to pay its penalty. When the heart is still sensitive and unhardened is the time to repent of its violation, before God has to deal with it. Be a faster learner in this area, not a slow learner.
Do not confuse God’s mercy and graciousness with license to sin
No sin is okay. There could be a time at hand where God’s has to say to you, “enough”. Shudder at the thought. Why go through the trials and testings, obey and serve him now. Some, sadly sin without remedy. Obey and repent now before it is too late.

17 Reasons why Jesus was born.

Study and meditate on these 17 Reasons why Jesus came to the world.
It will blessed your life. Jesus came into this world for many reasons and purpose but these few facts will give you more insight. Jesus was born ...

1. To Do the Will of the Father

“For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.” John 6:38

“Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’” Hebrews 10:7

2. To Save Sinners

“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” 1 Timothy 1:15

“for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Hebrews 9:26

3. To Bring Light to a Dark World

“I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.” John 12:46

“If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.” John 15:22

4. To Be Made Like His People and propitiation for our sins.

“Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect,so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.” Hebrews 2:14-17

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  1John 4:10

5. To Bear Witness to the Truth

“Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”” John 18:37

6. To Destroy the Devil and His Works

“Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil…” Hebrews 2:14

“Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

7. To Give Aboundant Grace and Aboundant  Life

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, butgrace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:16-17

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may haveit more abundantly. John 10:10

8. That we might live through Him

1Jn4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

Acts 17:28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

9. To Bring Judgment

“Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.” Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no guilt;but now that you say, ‘We see,’ your guilt remains.” John 9:39-41

10. To Give His Life a Ransom for Many

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

“…waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” Titus 2:13-14

11. To Reveal God’s Love for Sinners and Raise sons for God.

““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him 1john 3:1

Bringing Many Sons to Glory

For it was fitting for Him, for whomare all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Hebrew 2:10

11. To Call Sinners to Repentance

“And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2:17

12. To Die

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. “Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.” John 12:24-27

13. To Seek and Save the Lost

“And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him,“Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:5, 9-10

14. To Bind Up Broken Hearts

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:1-3 Luke 4

15. To Make Us Partakers of the Divine Nature and restore Human nature to holiness

“…by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.” 2 Peter 1:4

To Restore Human Nature to Holiness

“And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.” Luke 1:35

16. To Reign as King

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

17. To Reveal God’s Glory

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 #Austinchinedu

8 ways Jesus defeated Satan .

8 WAYS JESUS DEFEATED THE DEVIL

God pronounced sentence on the Devil in the Garden of Eden.

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike your head, and you will strike His heel (Genesis 3:15).

The offspring of the woman would someday crush the serpent's head. This was a prophecy of the coming of the Messiah - Jesus Christ. When Jesus came to earth, He came as the last Adam - the last perfect man.

Thus it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living being"; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45).

The first Adam miserably failed and brought sin into the world, but the last Adam succeeded in defeating sin and Satan in the following ways.

1. His Silent Years

Jesus defeated Satan in His silent years. Though He gave no sermons, performed no miracles, and was unknown to the public, He lived all these years without sin, doing everything that was pleasing to God the Father. At His baptism, the Father said of Jesus.

and behold, a voice out of the heavens, said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17).

The Father was well-pleased with His Son.

2. The Temptation

Jesus did not succumb to the temptation of the Devil (Matthew 4:1-11). Though Satan tested Jesus in various ways, there was no giving in to these temptations. Scripture says of Jesus:

For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that has been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

And you know that He was manifested to take away sins; and in Him is no sin (1 John 3:5).

3. Throughout His Public Ministry

Jesus was tempted during His public ministry - by those who believed in Him, such as Simon Peter (Matthew 16:22,23), and by those who did not believe in Him, such as His brothers and the religious rulers.

Tempted By His Half-Brothers

His half-brothers tempted Jesus to reveal Himself as the Messiah before the appointed time.

So His brothers said to Him, "Leave here and go to Judea so that Your disciples also may see the works You are doing; for no one who wants to be widely known acts in secret. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world." (For not even His brothers believed in Him.) (John 7:3-5).

The religious leaders tempted Jesus, for the purpose of bringing charges against Him.

They said this to test Him, so that they might have some charge to bring against Him. Jesus bent down and wrote with His finger on the ground (John 8:6).

All of these attempts failed. At the end of His public ministry, Jesus was still without sin. He asked His disciples.

Which of you convicts Me of sin? If I say truth, why do you not believe Me? (John 8:46).

4. At The Cross

Satan was also defeated by Jesus at the cross. Shortly before His death, Jesus said:

the ruler of this world has been judged (John 16:11).

5. Resurrection

Not only did Jesus give His life for the sins of the world, He rose from the dead-breaking Satan's power over fallen humanity.

Since, therefore, the children share flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared the same things, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the Devil (Hebrews 2:14).

6. Lives Of Believers

Finally, Jesus has defeated Satan through the lives of those who have believed in Him.

Who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (Colossians 1:13).

The Bible says that believers look forward to the time when Satan's defeat will be for all to see.

And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you (Romans 16:20).

7. Second Coming

When Christ comes again, He will have Satan bound and placed into the pit.

And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years (Revelation 20:1,2).

8. The Lake Of Fire - The Ultimate Judgment

Eventually, Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, marking the final end to his inglorious career.

And the Devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and sulfur, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever (Revelation 20:10).

SPIRITUAL  MEAT FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Nourishment for the soul, referring specifically ( 1 Corinthians 10:3 ) to the manna by which the children of Israel were miraculously fed and which was made by Paul prophetically equivalent to the broken bread of the Christian sacrament symbolizing the body of Christ.
